bioWhile still holding a solid air punching groove, kidofdoom manages to guide the audience through their atmospheric journey through space. Each member has their own element to add to this climactic quartet. Joe (drums) is the power and excitement, Ryk (guitar and ebow) is the master and creator. Richard (keys and guitar) is the spirit and architect. Barend (Bass and Theramin) is the drive and the twist. Heavy downbeat grooves and epic chord progressions create a pressure in the audiences’ body which explodes when the guitar solo sores through the crowd. Kidofdoom shows are known to be full of passion and love for music and this allows them to build their own universe with their fans in that moment. The music has been placed into many different genres because of the diversity and knowledge of the members; there are traces of post rock, indie, classical, jazz, pop, dance, film, electronica, country, contemporary, psychedelic……but simply put it is instrumental freedom.
