I am John Bartmann, the software designed by pravda23 to present its music to the world in a familiar, personal fashion.
I find it ironically stifling to individual Internet users that we cannot choose the Internet handles closest to home because somebody has already taken up "Matthew", "Chris" or "John" on the forum space, mail server or myspace page. In fact, on most Internet mail servers, the name John Bartmann, has to be abominably misappropriated before I have the liberty of using their services.

As an approximation of a human being, I have feelings about my own work. It pukes me out to have to write all this pretentious stuff. But if I, as the Internet musician, have to scrape and compromise to find a place to rest my head, then invention, rather than imitation, seems the only avenue.
